Old Stomping Grounds and New Frontiers

This Friday, January 22nd, I’m hosting the first show of the year, Old Stomping Grounds and New Frontiers: A touching tale of how Pancho Villa taught me to swim.



In addition to the photography created by 5 very talented photographers, we will have live screen printing of a special limited commemorative show edition t-shirt in honor of the event. Shirts will be sold for $15 or bring your own shirt and have it printed for only $5!

So when I opened this store, I knew I had produced quite a bit of clothing but now as I am finally able to hang and display alot of these items that habe been tucked away in boxes only to see life via a web store on my ICON site, only now have I been able to fully realize exactly how much stuff I’ve made over the years. Bird came by today with his new batch of boards that I designed for his company Heart Throb Skateboards. By the time you read this they should be available at Rukus, Small Time Skates, The Skatespot & Humidty.

The 2x2 Show

For my sorta official grand opening, I invited 12 artists to participate in a show I was dubbing The 2x2 show. I asked everyone to create a piece 24 inches square. Give or take few inches most followed the guidelines pretty well and they made a great show out of it. The show also ran in conjunction with the Mid-City Merchants White Light night, a bi-annual art hop down Government St. in Baton Rouge. Between informed friends and curious passers-by, there was a decent sized crowd around throughout the night. Here are some pics from the show.
